Essays on a life in agriculture. Also posted here are the diary entries of Warren G. Bean, my great grandfather. Warren G. Bean lived from 1866 till 1949. He was a farmer and a Mennonite bishop for the Franconia Conference of the Mennonite church in Montgomery County Pennsylvania. My hope is that others might take some inspiration. Warren started farming on his own in the late 19th century; I started in the late 20th.

Planted corn. Harrowed corn ground back of orchard and planted the same. N. Johnson harrowed until about 4 o'clock. We then marked out in big field.
