Essays on a life in agriculture. Also posted here are the diary entries of Warren G. Bean, my great grandfather. Warren G. Bean lived from 1866 till 1949. He was a farmer and a Mennonite bishop for the Franconia Conference of the Mennonite church in Montgomery County Pennsylvania. My hope is that others might take some inspiration. Warren started farming on his own in the late 19th century; I started in the late 20th.

Still rainy and rained very heavy nearly all day. Sun peeped out just before sunset.
At meeting in Springfield then went to Jacob Y. Moyer's for dinner and they conveyed us to Binger where we took 3:25 train for Telford. Took supper at Isaac Gerhard then went to Aaron Freed's in Franconia where we stayed overnight.

Went to D. Gerhard's for dinner at Telford and at 3:24 took the train for Quakertown. And from there we were conveyed by Jacob Kulp to his home about 5 miles where we stayed overnight.

At Conference at Franconia. There were only two points discussed. Jos. Allebach against Samuel Detwiler Bishop and the conference was asked whether ministers would preach in Chapels if requested. It was granted the right if thing would be done in order.
